BEES runs Natural Play Saturday Clubs which are Forest School / bushcraft-based. They are for 8-14-year-olds on alternate weeks during term time.
The clubs are held near to Woodside Garden Centre nr Ancrum – Jedburgh, from 1-4pm.
It’s a chance to have fun learning bushcraft and outdoor games, and learning about the natural world at the same time.
Clubs are based on the Danish ‘forest school’ ethos, which encourages woodland play and multi-sensory learning to promote teamwork, self-esteem and an active connection to nature.
Children can also work towards their John Muir Trust Discovery Award by taking part in at least eight sessions.
Cost per child is £10 per session, and numbers are limited to 12. Book 6 sessions, pay for 5.
