Natural Play Activity Weeks

"Katie has had a wonderful few days with you. This week she has been lost in a world of nature and adventure. She is desperate to come back next year!"

BEES Natural Play activity weeks are a fun way for children to learn about the environment through hands-on outdoor activities using a Forest Schools approach.

Our popular summer activity weeks in the school holidays are aimed at 8-14 year-olds and take place at near Woodside Garden Centre, nr Ancrum - Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. It’s a chance for children to try:

Exploring: get to know the woodland, hunt for minibeasts, identify trees and wildflowers using your different senses…

Camouflage: design your own outfit and face, test your disguise in the wild, try sneaking up on some animals…

Bushcraft: build a shelter, gather wild food, cook on a campfire, make woodland furniture…
